It’s hard for me to believe it's already been three years since The King's Time was published. Time flies when you’re lost in magical worlds and epic adventures (or having shoulder surgery and moving across the country). Two months ago also marked the book birthdays of The King's Fear and The King's Sun, published five and six years ago.
The audiobook version of The King's Fear is progressing nicely. Although it faced some delays due to Texan allergies and traveling (I went to New York City for the first time - the above photo is from the Cloisters), production is more than halfway complete. I anticipate it will be ready for your ears in the coming months.
My current work in progress, tentatively titled The War for Heaven, has reached a significant milestone – the first draft is halfway done with well over 60,000 words. Plenty of work remains ahead, including getting some beta readers (Would you be interested? Let me know!) so don’t expect a release until next year at the soonest.
In a shocking turn of events, I’ve already completed my Goodread’s challenge for the year (to be fair, I set it at twelve books). I started rereading Brandon Sanderson’s The Stormlight Archive series in preparation for the fifth book’s release later this year. Right now, I’m listening to Stone of Farewell, the second book in Tad Williams’ Memory, Sorrow and Thorn series. I’m also reading A Canticle for Leibowitz by Walter M. Miller, which thus far has been an absolute delight.
